Influencers who cook everything from scratch and represent traditional values share their lives with the internet community, and while some people enjoy their content, others do not look favorably upon patriarchal patterns.
Two excellent examples of this are Hannah Neeleman, known by her Instagram and Tiktok handle Ballerina Farm, and Nara Smith.
Hannah Neeleman, the Traditional Homemaker
Hannah Neeleman is an influencer living in Utah who used to be a ballerina but took a completely different direction in life. She now lives on a farm with her husband, Daniel Neeleman, and they have eight children together.
It is well known that Daniel’s father is incredibly wealthy, but overall, the couple has nothing to complain about. Despite the fact that they could do anything they wanted, it caused quite a stir when it was revealed that, at Daniel’s request, they do not hire a childcare provider, meaning that Hannah has to raise the children within the family.
All this came to light in an interview with The Sunday Times in 2024, which completely freaked out the internet. Mainly because the interview also revealed that Hannah had been exhausted to the point of physical illness on several occasions.
People’s concern only grew, and Daniel faced increasing backlash after a video went viral showing Hannah receiving her birthday present from him. In the video, Hannah says she’d like a trip or a vacation, but instead she gets an apron, which is supposed to help her collect eggs. Sure, because we really believe there are just enough eggs on the farm to fit into that apron…
The interview, and especially that scene, completely shifted people’s attitude toward Hannah, who had previously faced a lot of criticism for promoting unrealistic expectations for women and supporting patriarchal, outdated values. Now all that hate is reserved for Nara Smith and other tradwives like her.
Nara Smith and Her Amazing Dresses
Nara Smith has recently become one of the most recognizable faces of the “tradwife” movement. On her social media pages, which does not include Monro Casino, she presents romanticized, carefully composed videos of herself running a household, cooking for her husband, baking homemade bread, and mixing natural cleaning products, all while appearing in front of the camera in perfect makeup and clothing.
Her content may seem harmless and nostalgic, but many believe it reflects deeper social tensions. Critics argue that Nara Smith’s videos focus on a female role model that ignores the difficulties and choices faced by modern women.
The outrage stems in part from the fact that Smith’s appearances are often backed by enormous financial resources, a privileged position, and a filtered reality.
The image of the “simple housewife” who gets up at dawn and cook three-course dinners is, according to many, just an illusion perpetuated by the idealized world of social media. Such illusions do not appear on the Revolution Casino or Monro Casino websites. Instead of liberating women from the pressure of social expectations, Smith’s content, according to many, pulls them back into a past that was not as idyllic for everyone as it is now portrayed.
Let’s Stay Grounded in Reality
It is true that influencers should think about what they want to communicate to the world and what feelings they may stir up in others, but it is also true that we, as content consumers, should not read too much into things. Instead, why not have some fun at Revolution Casino?
Let’s take a step back and think about it: Hannah is an influencer, so she’s obviously not sharing her life with others because it’s so bad. Of course, nothing is that simple, but the point is that she gets to do what she loves, and it’s entirely possible that this is what makes her happy. Others are happy thanks to Monro Casino, we are all different.
On the other hand, Nara Smith is a model, not just a housewife. She has a career, unfortunately not at Revolution Casino. The fact that she likes to slip into the role of a traditional wife when she’s at home doesn’t mean that she thinks everyone should live like her, nor that this is all there is to her life.
Influencers don’t usually show the whole truth, and that’s okay to a certain extent, because what makes them interesting and puts them in the spotlight is that there is something unusual about their lives. If you don’t like it, don’t follow them, that’s what social media is all about.
